Marafie Foundation and its Role in Orphan Care in Northern Pakistan:
Established in 1987, the Marafie Foundation aims to support and sponsor orphans in northern Pakistan. The Jaber Orphanage was inaugurated in the Rondo region of northern Pakistan on March 20, 2010. The facility was built on a 15,430 square meter plot and includes 13 residential rooms, 9 classrooms, 2 halls, a central kitchen, a central storage area, a teachers' room, and an office for the director, in addition to a mosque.
The foundation covers all costs related to construction, furnishing, and operations. The Marafie Foundation manages the orphanage in collaboration with the Marafie Mohammedan Trust, leveraging their previous experience in this field. The foundation provides housing, meals, clothing, and education for approximately 80 orphans.
Furthermore, the foundation provides healthcare and gifts during field visits. After graduating from middle school, students are supported to pursue vocational specialties, and outstanding students receive support in advanced stages of education.
All of these services are made possible through contributions from donors and well-wishers in the Marafie family and their friends in Kuwait. The foundation expresses gratitude to all donors who contribute to orphan care and reminds them that the cost of sponsoring an orphan exceeds 220 Kuwaiti Dinars annually."
