During the year 2007, the National Institute of Handicapped at Islamabad that caters for the badly injured and disabled earthquake affected, was upgraded and a new building wing was constructed at a cost of Rupees Two Millions in collaboration with an international NGO Direct Relief International (USA), This new block was purposely built to house the attendants and relatives who have to stay in the city with the handicapped patients for prolonged period in the vicinity of the institute during the treatment such patients. In addition to that DRI continued to send medicines to Marafie Foundation Pakistan free of charges. The last shipment was received in beginning 2016.
In 2012-13 Marafie Foundation received a large quality of quality medicines and medical supplies which were distributed to various hospitals of Gilgit Baltistan.
